Joe Strummer is perhaps best known as frontman for legendary punk outfit The Clash, and was renowned for his particularly fiery and passionate brand of up-tempo punk-rock.

• Road-Worn Finish – As anyone who has seen it in person will attest, Strummer’s famed ’66 Telecaster looks like it’s seen plenty of action over the decades – and it has. For this signature model, Fender have decided to recreate those Road Worn looks with precision, giving the guitar a Black finish over the top of a Sunburst finish, with the body, neck, hardware, and pickguard all given the kind of look normally associated with decades of high-energy performances.
• Vintage Playing Feel – For the neck on this guitar, Fender opted for a mid-’60s “C”-shape maple neck, that features a 7.25″ radius slab Rosewood Fingerboard. This combination results in an incredibly comfortable playing experience, and is perfect for accurate chording with reduced levels of hand fatigue.
• Custom-Voiced Pickups – The two single coil pickups on this Joe Strummer Telecaster are custom voiced to match those on the afore-mentioned ’66 Tele.
• Period-Correct Hardware – Bringing it all together is a vintage-style 6-saddle Telecaster bridge, period-correct 3-ply parchment pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, and even a custom neck plate. Each of these items have also been given Fender’s Road Worn finish, resulting in a guitar that not only feels vintage but looks it too.
• Hardshell Case Included – To keep the guitar safe, Fender have included a deluxe vintage-style hardshell case. This hard-wearing case also features an internal accessory pocket, which allows you to keep your spare strings, cables, straps, and more close to hand at all times.
