For the body of the Les Paul Studio, Gibson have gone with the tried and true traditional tone wood combination of a Mahogany body and Maple top.

Ultra-Modern weight relief ensures a more comfortable playing experience so you can play better for longer, with less fatigue.

Attached to the body is a slim taper neck providing great playability holding a traditional Rosewood bound fretboard.

The fretboard features 22 frets that have been cryogenically treated so they are more durable and stronger, with much more resistance to wear.

Versatile Electronics

Giving the Les Paul Studio its versatile voice is a set of humbuckers in the form 490R and 498T pickups.

In the neck position there’s a 490R humbucker. Referred to as a modern classic, this aggressive pickup uses Alnico II magnets and shares characteristics with the original PAF pickups.

In the bridge position, you’ll find a 498T humbucker. This “hot alnico” bridge pickup uses an Alnico V magnet and matched windings on each coil to delivers some fantastic crunch and sustain perfect for searing lead tones.

A toggle switch allows you to choose how you’d like to use the pickups while the traditional 2 volume, 2 tone control setup allows for real tonal shaping.
