With the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass you have a brilliant take on one of the most popular and versatile bass guitars on the market, infused with some great vintage style.

Jazz Bass Construction

To craft the body of the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass, Squier have used Basswood. The Jazz Bass has a great design with two cutaways in the body allowing for easier reach of the higher frets, perfect for the odd bass solo or other adventurous playing styles.

Sturdy and secure bolt-on construction connects a slim “C” shaped Maple neck to the body of the guitar. A little thinner than what you’d find on most models, this neck provides a fast and smooth playing experience which is very comfortable for your fretting hand.

Atop the neck is a classic Rosewood fretboard with a 9.5” radius and pearloid dot position inlays.

Versatile Sound

A large reason the Fender Jazz Bass took the world by storm with its initial launch back in the 1960s and has continued to be so popular with bassists around the world is its versatile sound.

In both the neck and bridge positions, the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass features Fender-designed single-coil Jazz Bass pickups providing authentic Fender tone with full-bodied low end and a real growl.

Allowing you to sculpt your sonic output there are also some simple to use controls onboard consisting of separate volume knobs for each pickup and a Master Tone knob for overall tone adjustment.

Vintage Style

On the body of the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass is a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge which allows for precise intonation across the entire neck of the jazz bass guitar while adding a little visual vintage flavour.

Further adding to that vintage aesthetic are the open-gear machine heads found on the headstock which offer fast, accurate and secure tuning of your strings.

A vintage-tinted gloss finish has been used on the neck for a brilliantly aged look with the tortoise shell pickguard and chrome hardware adding those finishing touches to complete this beautiful bass guitar.
