Originally released in 1961, and heavily inspired by the 1956 Danelectro six-string bass, the Bass VI combined a Jaguar-like body with 6 strings tuned E to E a FULL OCTAVE below a standard guitar.

Incredibly Versatile

Played more like a guitar than a standard bass (often with a pick, and even with full chords), the Bass VI is suitable for musicians making the transition over to bass, and for band setups looking for a little extra tonal colour in their mix.
