Versatile Body Shape

Featuring the Taylor created Grand Auditorium body, designed for the performer with a versatile range. Comfortably, it handles strumming, flatpicking and fingerpicking with ease. The Venetian cutaway lets you access the upper frets with complete confidence and ease.

The Sitka Solid Spruce top matched with Walnut back and sides twist the tone with warmth, clarity and projection.

Unique X Bracing

The forward shifting bracing pattern offers the player an acoustic with great depth and delivery. Supporting the midrange that the Grand Auditorium is clearly defined for. The tonewoods vibrate with ease, presenting a louder sound than you would expect from a mid bodied sized instrument.

Comfortable Neck and Fine Details

The Taylor 114ce has a hard rock maple neck with a West African Ebony fingerboard. Comfortable, easy and smooth. You will be able to jump from chord work to picking and back again without a flinch.

Its Chrome tuners keep the Taylor in tune. And the Nubone Nut and Micarta Saddle transfer the string vibrations right through to the centre of the tonewoods.

Expression System 2

Installed in the 114ce is an Expression System 2. This pickup captures the true sound of this acoustic and projects it perfectly across to the audience. Dynamic to the last, with controls to let you work the sound on stage to your personal preferences.
