Being a dreadnought style guitar, the Taylor 150e 12 string guitar naturally delivers a beautiful, full bodied low-end response balanced well with a crisp octave shimmer giving you a deep, articulate tone with incredible dynamic range.

Sitka Spruce has been used for the soundboard of the Taylor 150e. One of the most popular woods for acoustic guitar construction; Sitka Spruce is known for its great tonewood qualities; combining strength and elasticity in order to offer a broad dynamic range with crisp articulation.

The back and sides of the Taylor 150e have been crafted from layered Walnut. Having layered walnut used this way adds a great resilience to the body of the 150e while looking great too. The Sitka Spruce top and Walnut body wood combination projects a beautiful sound that will only improve with age.

Using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design the Expression System 2 beautifully captures the dynamic properties of the 150e. The revolutionary pickup design of the Taylor Expression System 2 delivers the latest in Taylor’s continuing innovation in the world of acoustic guitar amplification.  One secret to the ES2’s incredible performance is Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup which features three separately positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. This unique placement and specific calibration allows for an increased capture of the dynamic range from the guitar.

Combined with Taylor’s own custom-designed professional audio-grade preamp, you get an exceptional amplified tone with incredible response. For the nut of the Taylor 150e has been used. As TUSQ is precision engineered under high heat and pressure it enhances the frequencies in the guitar strings allowing for maximum sustain, performing better than materials such as ivory and bone and far out performing plastic.
