Crafting the Washburn WP55NS

For the Washburn WP55NS parlour style guitar, Washburn have gone back over one hundred years and revived the classic Style 306 design which they originally gave us in 1889!

The top, back and sides of the WP55NS have been crafted from Koa, giving it a balanced, clear tone and a beautifully unique appearance.

Quarter sawn scalloped X-bracing construction has been used, making for an incredibly strong and secure build while enhancing resonance.

Attached to the body is a Mahogany neck featuring a Black Walnut fingerboard that feels as good as it looks.

With the Washburn WP55NS acoustic guitar, there are a number of features that enhance both its performance and looks.

On the body of the WP55NS is a Washburn “smile” style Walnut bridge, offering great transfer of vibration from the strings to the resonating Koa top.

Around the soundhole is a “Style 306” abalone rosette while the fretboard has a matching inlay for a fantastic and unique aesthetic.

A bone nut is in use, providing a naturally bright and organic sound to your tone. Just above it you’ll find six gold finished open gear tuning machines providing great looks and secure tuning of your strings.
