To match the LL16D ARE’s high spec looks, the experts at Yamaha chose the tonewoods by hand, to ensure the wood’s characteristics would complement the acoustic’s vibrance.

The solid Engelmann Spruce top delivers a mellow, rich voicing, whilst maintaining the clarity of the acoustic’s vast dynamic range. Meaning nothing is lost from your performance, so you get a full-bodied, natural sound.

The Spruce is then mixed with the Solid Rosewood back and sides, enhancing the LL16D’s cavernous low end without muddying the tone. Not only that, but the tonewood also gives the acoustic a powerful amplifying resonance, bringing your playing to life.

Comfortable Neck Movement

With a reevaluated design, the LL16D ARE’s refined Rosewood and Mahogany Ply neck profile features a widened space between strings and improved string height to ensure a better fit for today’s versatile player.
